Captain Marvel Actress Reveals BTS Look at Doctor Minerva

As fans wait for the first trailer of next year's Captain Marvel, one of the film's actors has given us a first look at movie's possible villain; Doctor Minerva aka Minn-Erva. Considering the lack of information about the film aside from it's setting, this should be an interesting teaser for fans of the character, along with those who know the original Mar-Vell.

On Twitter, actress Gemma Chan revealed her haircut for Minn-Erva, who she will be playing as in the movie. While the hoodie probably won't play a factor, the haircut is interesting since most fans associate the villain with long hair. Then again, Minn-Erva isn't exactly an A-list villain so this shouldn't really bother anyone.

Much like Mar-Vell, who will be played by Jude Law in the film, Minn-Erva is of the Kree and first appeared in Captain Marvel #50 as one of his enemies. The character has feuded with Mar-Vell and Carol Danvers, fighting the latter almost as recently as Civil War II. It will be interesting to see these two fight since Minn-Erva has a similar power-set to Danvers.

Set in the 90's, Captain Marvel is expected to hit theaters on March 8, 2019. The movie not only has Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, and Gemma Chan Minn-Erva but will also include Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, and Lee Pace reprising his role as Ronan from the first Guardians of the Galaxy.
