Warning: if you haven't seen the latest episode of WandaVision yet, this article contains SPOILERS so read at your own risk.

Marvel fans and

WandaVision

viewers, for the matter, are notorious for digging deep into every episode just to find easter eggs and comic book references that could play a significant factor in shaping up the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since Episode 4, fans have been pretty convinced that the show is actually setting up the arrival of Marvel's first family aka the

Fantastic Four

. In the said episode, Monica Rambeau and S.W.O.R.D. director Tyler Hayward had a brief discussion regarding the disappearance and status of a group of astronauts working for the organization following the blip.

While it's an interesting theory,

WandaVision

showrunner Jac Schaeffer would ultimately

dismiss

the rumors surrounding the involvement of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm in the hit Disney+ series.

Episode 6

dropped another hint about an "aerospace engineer" that once worked with Monica. Even actress

Teyonah Parris

has been hyping up the arrival of the said character and it led a lot of fans to believe that she is actually talking about Reed Richards aka the F4's shape-shifting leader Mr. Fantastic.

As much as I hate to burst your bubble, Reed doesn't appear in the latest episode of

WandaVision

. Instead, we get introduced to a new character named Major Goodner who constructs an advanced rover that Monica uses to reenter the hex. Considering Parris assured fans that Monica's engineer friend would be appearing in

Episode 7

, it's safe to assume that it's actually Goodner and not Mr. Fantastic or even Blue Marvel as previously speculated.

Theories are fun and all but if there's anything the show has taught us since the beginning, it's that we should keep our expectations relatively low and not go overboard with all the assumptions. While it sucks that we didn't end up seeing Reed, it's not like he needs to be there anyway. Then again, we still have two episodes left so there's still a chance that a surprise Marvel character could turn up.

The latest

episode

of

WandaVision

is now streaming on

Disney+

.
