Joss Whedon has been under fire for the last couple of weeks following several abuse allegations thrown at him. Following Ray Fisher's bold declaration that he had a bad working experience with the Marvel and DC director, other actors have recently come out to testify and support Fisher's claims with their own stories.
Surprisingly enough, another Justice League actor is seemingly coming to the defense of the director who helmed the 2017 theatrical cut of the DCEU project. Harry Lennix, who's been a staple in the DC Extended Universe and was later revealed by Zack Snyder to be Martian Manhunter in the franchise is opening up about his working relationship with Whedon.
In a new interview with Variety to hype up his appearance as Martian Manhunter in Zack Snyder's Justice League, Lennix shared his side regarding the Whedon scandal. He explains: "I didn't see any of that kind of behavior that I'm hearing about. But I'm in a different place. That kind of thing is not likely to happen to me, just 'cause I'm a big Black guy from the South Side of Chicago, that people are a little more circumspect in however they might think about treating me or talking to me."
The accusations being thrown at the Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron director has yet to be proven but considering the growing number of actors who are now coming out in the open to expose his abusive and unprofessional ways as a filmmaker, Whedon has every reason in the world to be worried.
Meanwhile, the Snyder Cut of Justice League hits HBO Max this March 18.
