Wonder Woman Star Gal Gadot Reportedly Trying to Keep a Low Profile After Getting Canceled

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is the last person you would think to get "canceled" on the internet considering how genuinely likable she is but this week, the actress came under fire following her statement amid the growing tensions in her home country of Israel and Gaza. The two territories have been in conflict for several years now but this week alone proved to be one of the most chaotic events in their long-standing struggle and the DC Extended Universe star expressed her concern over the violence that has been taking place as of late.

Amid all the mainstream media attention the crisis has been getting, Gal took to social media in an attempt to unify people in the middle of the conflict. However, despite her pure intentions, the actress was heavily criticized for her statement which calls for peace and unity. The Israeli star was even forced to disable her Twitter mentions after her post drew flak on the social media platform.

Insider Daniel Richtman notes in his latest Patreon report that Gal is now trying to keep a low profile following her newsmaking statement, a move that is totally understandable and necessary. He didn't go into detail about it but it's safe to assume that the decision to stay away for the meantime was something Gal contemplated to prevent the backlash from growing further.

With her baby number three on the way, it's obviously best for Gadot to avoid stress and just stay off social media for the time being until the situation subsides. Again, I still believe that her intentions are genuine and she only wants what's best for everyone, especially during this very difficult time and some people are just blowing things out of proportion. Cancel culture is to blame if we're being honest.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot is expected to return for Wonder Woman 3.
