Winter Soldier Actor Sebastian Stan Becomes Bucky Cap in Stunning New Image

We all know that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is setting up Sam Wilson's heroic transformation to becoming the next Captain America and by the looks of it, The Falcon becoming the star-spangled man is part of Marvel Studios' long-term plans for the MCU now that Steve Rogers is out of the picture.

That's not to say though that James Buchanan Barnes aka the Winter Soldier's chances of becoming Captain America at some point are slim because the idea of Bucky being the actual successor to his old pal Steve has been a subject of discussion within the fandom. In fact, several rumors have claimed that Sebastian Stan was poised to take over for Chris Evans until plans were changed.

Whether or not Bucky will become Cap in the MCU just like in the comics still remains to be seen but digital artist @artoftimemarvel is already toying with the idea. Taking to his official Instagram page, the artist unveiled a stunning new image depicting Stan as the next Captain America aka "Bucky Cap". I gotta say, it actually works. Check it out here:

While Bucky's comic run as Captain America fell short and was actually pretty underwhelming, I still believe that the character has potential in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story could easily be turned into Bucky's road to redemption after all the years he was brainwashed by Hydra and let's face it, the idea of a more ruthless and badass Captain America that doesn't exactly follow a moral code sounds fresh and interesting.
