There's no doubt that Kevin Feige can be credited for making the Marvel Cinematic Universe the success that it is today and it's amazing how the Marvel Studios boss has managed to stand the test of time and continue exceeding expectations. Now, fans are actually wondering, does the DC Extended Universe also have a leader-like individual who pretty much captains the ship? The quick answer to that is yes, of course, but you'll be surprised to find out who exactly it is.

WarnerMedia executive Ann Sarnoff was recently asked by Variety if she thinks DC has someone as influential as Kevin Feige who's calling the shots in the DCEU. Sarnoff revealed that there's no one person in charge of overseeing everything but she did say that comic book icon and DC's current Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee has some creative pull.

She explains: "Jim lives and breathes the canon of DC and he works with all of the divisions to make sure the storylines are true to the canon. He helps them come up with ideas for new storylines. Jim is very much in the middle of everything. But the group together helps spur on new ideas. But there's not one person calling the shots, because I want all the voices in the room to offer their expertise and knowledge of their formats."

I've always believed that the MCU became a colossal success because everyone in the franchise is on the same page. We're all aware of Warner Bros. and DC Film's well-documented history of meddling a little too much with the DCEU and it has never truly benefited the franchise. If they could've somehow taken a page out of Marvel Studios' playbook, the DCEU wouldn't be a convoluted mess in the first place. But hey, there's always a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Zack Snyder's Justice League is now available for streaming on HBO Max.
