WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen Finally Addresses 'Disappointing' Surprise Cameo

WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen has come out on several occasions to say how she enjoyed working on Marvel Studios' first-ever series which ended up being a huge hit amongst diehard fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, not once did Olsen ever address the "issues" concerning the show and the several fan theories that have been circulating all over the internet.

Apparently, the Wanda Maximoff actress had an idea about the theories surrounding the series but she's not sure what exactly those theories are about which isn't all that surprising considering she's been off of social media for close to seven months now after deactivating her Instagram account last September.

In her latest interview with Variety along with showrunner Jac Schaeffer, Lizzie weighed in on the outrageous fan speculations about the series. According to her, she was aware that fans wanted to see certain characters turn up on the show. She explains: "I knew that there are theories that had to do with people wanting more surprises in cameos. But I'm not really that aware of what these fan theories were, so I'm kind of learning about it as we go."

The MCU's Scarlet Witch also finally addressed that "Luke Skywalker" cameo (which tuned out to be Paul Bettany as White Vision) fans were extremely bummed out about. "Paul said something about this crazy cameo when he was really just talking about doing a scene with himself, and I know Paul thought that was a really funny joke, and I thought it was funny. But I was like, I think people are actually going to suspect that there is more to come."

Now that WandaVision "failed" to deliver the extreme expectations of some fans, I hope this serves as a huge lesson to the folks who rely a little too much on fan theories that aren't even guaranteed to take place. Now, I couldn't care less if people are actually disappointed by the finale because I totally enjoyed it and as a fan, that's the only thing that matters to me.

WandaVision's grand finale is now streaming on Disney+.
