WandaVision was shrouded not only by mystery but with a ton of fan theories as well and although some of the speculations seemed pretty plausible, none of the actual wild fan theories that have been circulating all over the internet ever materialized in the show. Surprisingly enough, the theories (which were baseless, to begin with) not coming true ended up disappointing a lot of viewers.

Aside from the popular fan theories surrounding Mephisto and Quicksilver, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe also toyed with the idea of Wanda Maximoff's "father" Magneto potentially appearing on the show, and long before the series premiered, they have been looking for clues to solidify their hunch about the evil mutant's MCU arrival.

At one point, it even looked like WandaVision was already planting the seeds for a Magneto appearance as the first few episodes dropped hints about Erik Lehnsherr possibly making his debut on the series. However, as the show progressed and wrapped up, the Magneto theories were eventually debunked much to the chagrin of viewers.

Now, actress Elizabeth Olsen is breaking her silence after learning that Michael Fassbender was rumored to reprise his X-Men role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a new interview with Variety along with showrunner Jac Schaeffer, the Scarlet Witch herself opened up about the outrageous theories which are only coming to her attention now that the show has ended.

She says: "I knew that there are theories that had to do with people wanting more surprises in cameos. But I'm not really that aware of what these fan theories were, so I'm kind of learning about it as we go. Paul said something about this crazy cameo when he was really just talking about doing a scene with himself, and I know Paul thought that was a really funny joke, and I thought it was funny. But I was like, I think people are actually going to suspect that there is more to come."

On the subject of the Marvel multiverse, Olsen revealed that she had no clue what was actually going on until she began working on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She added: "I didn't know about the multiverse when we were filming this. So I wouldn't assume that that's what was happening. I thought it was just a clever way to have a Pietro. I didn't understand the larger plan of the multiverse until I started working on "Multiverse," or whatever our movie's called the "Doctor Strange" sequel!"

As much as I would have loved to see surprise characters like Doctor Strange, Mephisto, and even Magneto himself turn up on the series, I've always believed that WandaVision didn't need to rely on a huge name to deliver. I couldn't care less about the whining fans who weren't pleased with how the finale turned out, I genuinely think that the entire cast pretty much proved that they were more than enough to handle business and pull off a jaw-dropping ending.

WandaVision's grand finale is now streaming on Disney+.
