ICYMI: WandaVision Trailer Drops During Emmys

Attention, Marvel fans! Disney+ just released our very first look at the eagerly anticipated WandaVision during the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards and to call it promising would be a crime because it's definitely beyond that. A few hours before the Emmys went on air, rumors of its trailer finally dropping made the rounds on social media. It did happen and after months of fans manifesting nonstop for content, the drought finally came to an end.

The visually-pleasing 1 minute and 20-second teaser is a complete nostalgic ride thanks to its retro vibe and aesthetic. It begins with a black & white shot of Wanda Maximoff and Vision who seemingly abandon all the trouble and chaos in exchange for a normal, happy, and peaceful life as a married couple. The monochrome treatment of the teaser gets filled with color over the course of the trailer as it ends with a little sense of suspense, giving fans a hint at Vision's fate post-Avengers: Endgame. It's extremely trippy, haunting, and alluring all at the same time.

I for one am totally stoked about this show mainly due to its style that is something we haven't seen before from the good folks over at Marvel Studios. I also can't wait to see Wanda realize her true potential and witness the magic and disarray she will bring to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides the fact that it will be a story about love and loss, WandaVision will see Maximoff's journey to becoming the Scarlet Witch. Bring it on, Marvel!

WandaVision is expected to drop on Disney+ later this year!
