WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen has got to be one of the busiest Marvel actors right now and it's looking pretty evident that she'll be sticking around in the franchise for more years to come. After she finished working on additional photography for the Disney+ show late last year, Olsen would fly straight to the United Kingdom to begin work on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
There were several reports claiming that Elizabeth was one of the actors who were offered multi-picture deals by Marvel Studios to remain in the MCU. However, the 31-year-old actress has dismissed reports, claiming that she doesn't have any idea whether she'll stick around for long or not. In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Olsen cast doubt on her future in the franchise.
She said: "I never know how much longer I’m part of the universe (laughs). I don’t have a nine-picture deal or whatever. It’s always kind of changing for the last six years. So it’s always surprising to me when I find out about a new project or a new way to use Wanda."
With Wanda Maximoff being one of the most protected characters in the franchise, we can confidently assume that her time in the MCU isn't going to run out anytime soon. Even Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has expressed in the past how high he is with the character so that alone says a lot about Olsen's position in the billion-dollar franchise.
As for WandaVision, expect more revelations to unfold in upcoming episodes of the series. The first two episodes didn't really give away that much but they're already teasing that there's something strange going on inside Wanda's new altered reality. Hopefully, Episode 3 will be able to shed some light on some of our questions.
WandaVision is now streaming on Disney+.
