The first two episodes of WandaVision didn't give away much in terms of the direction the series is headed to and it caused a lot of confusion amongst fans who have never read any of the reference material utilized by the show. However, Episode 3 finally sheds some light on all the confusion going on, and it's giving fans a better understanding of what's truly to come as the show progresses.
In the third episode titled "Now in Color", Wanda finally mentions her brother Pietro after all these years, and intriguingly, it looks as if she isn't aware that he died during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I'm guessing Wanda still carries the emotional trauma and she's yet to come to terms with his death.
The episode ended with Wanda discovering Geraldine's (Monica Rambeau) secret after she mentions how Ultron killed Pietro. This forces her to throw the S.W.O.R.D. agent out of her pocket reality.
Now, with the show finally acknowledging the existence of Wanda's twin brother, a potential reappearance from Quicksilver himself is definitely on the table. But what if Pietro returns as someone else in the MCU? Fans have been theorizing that actor Evan Peters who has been confirmed to appear on the show could be retconned as the MCU's Quicksilver, replacing Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
The explanation for it is still somehow linked to the show's sitcom theme as we're all very much aware that recastings are nothing new in the world of television and even film. And considering Peters has been a fan-favorite all these years, it's a smart move for Marvel Studios to bring him back even just for a few episodes. Still, the possibility of him ending up as a different character is still there.
