If there's something we learned about the MCU's third Spider-Man film over the last couple of months, it's that it'll be stacked as hell. With rumors of it being Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' live-action version of the Spider-Verse, it'll be interesting to see how they'll cram everything into one film assuming that it'll only have a standard runtime of maybe two-and-a-half hours max. So far, it's been confirmed that the upcoming superhero flick will feature multiple Spidey villains including outsiders Electro and Doc Ock, but what if one of Spider-Man's biggest foes also makes his way to Earth-616?
Sony has teased the possibility of Tom Hardy's Venom going up against Tom Holland's version of the web-slinger and if anything, Spider-Man 3 could be the perfect way to introduce him and the alien symbiote. Now, in case you were wondering how the MCU's Peter Parker would look like if he bonded with the dangerous extraterrestrial symbiote, Australian artist BossLogic has unveiled his take on the black-suited Spider-Man and it's unlike anything we've seen before.
The image sees Peter get venomized and the result is pretty darn menacing. Instead of the traditional "Symbiote Spidey" look, this take on the character retains the imposing nature of Eddie Brock's often villainous alter-ego. Check out the spectacular artwork below:
There's no doubt at this point that a lot will go down in Spider-Man 3 and honestly, I'd like for Marvel Studios and Sony to give it an Avengers treatment to turn it into a two-part extravaganza. I think that would be pretty dope and with the possibility of it becoming a full-blown Spider-Verse flick, I believe one film wouldn't suffice but then again, that's just me. Let's just see how they pull off this one.
Spider-Man 3 is slated for release in December 2021.
