Thor: Love and Thunder will be a Marvel Cinematic Universe extravaganza like no other and judging by the information we know so far, it already has the makings of topping its predecessor Thor: Ragnarok which quite frankly, would be hard to do considering Ragnarok is easily one of the best films Marvel Studios has ever produced.

Fans are particularly excited for the film as it'll mark the highly anticipated return of Natalie Portman as the female version of the mighty Asgardian aka the God of Thunder. Portman's MCU future was in doubt after she didn't reprise her role as Jane Foster in Ragnarok but fans were stunned to see her appear in one of the time travel scenes from Avengers: Endgame and now she's officially back in the franchise.

The Star Wars actress has previously stated that she's been training really hard for her upgraded role and now, in her latest update, Natalie shared that she's still working extra to achieve a superhero physique. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Natalie said her target look for the film: "No. Very little, just trying to train to look like an action figure... Yes, The Mighty Thor. The Jane Foster Thor is called The Mighty Thor."

It's still a little too early to tell but if Portman's outing as "Lady Thor" becomes a success, then we can all expect her to make more MCU appearances in the future and potentially be involved in the supposed A-Force project that is rumored to be in development. The future of the MCU looks promising for sure.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit cinemas in 2022.
