The Suicide Squad actor John Cena is a married man once again. Numerous sources, including TMZ, have confirmed the news online that the WWE-wrestler-turned-movie-star has tied the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony. The two began seeing each other in 2019 following Cena's highly publicized relationship and breakup with co-WWE superstar Nikki Bella.
According to the entertainment site, Cena and Shariatzadeh "got engaged on the down-low -- and filed for a marriage certificate in Florida in early October." TMZ's insiders were also able to obtain the official documents from their wedding which state that the two have indeed exchanged vows last October 12. No official confirmation from the Hollywood star has been made.
Cena, despite him being a huge A-lister right now has always kept his private life quiet and lowkey which is pretty admirable considering the spotlight seems to follow him everywhere he goes, especially these days. Speaking of, the ex-wrestler has been getting a bunch of high profile acting projects ever since he made the jump to Tinseltown a couple of years back. And just like his WWE colleagues Dwayne "The Rock" and Dave Bautista, Cena has successfully crossed over from the world of wrestling to Hollywood. In 2021 alone, he's set to appear in Fast & Furious 9 and the highly anticipated The Suicide Squad. Good on ya, champ!
John Cena is also set to star in HBO Max's Peacemaker series.
