The Mandalorian's Gina Carano Claims She Hasn't Seen Season 2 Yet

The Mandalorian is undoubtedly the best thing the Star Wars franchise has produced in quite some time and while I don't mean any disrespect to the previous projects that came before it, the show is just too damn good to not give credit. Heck, even the actors who are part of the show are very much thrilled to be a part of what can be argued as the one show that reinvigorated the franchise.

People like Katee Sackhoff, Sasha Banks, and Rosario Dawson have gushed over their appearances on the show on multiple occasions and unsurprisingly, they've seen the episodes of the show they were featured on.

But apparently, Gina Carano has never seen a single episode from the show's second season. Now, before you raise your eyebrows and call BS over this "unusual" fact, the MMA-fighter-turned-actress has a good reason for it. In a recent conversation with The Federalist, Carano said that the idea of watching herself doesn't sit well with her.

"I don't like to watch myself. I feel like I get in my head a little bit," she explains. "I'll watch it eventually just to see how I can grow from it. The more fascination for me was seeing the other Star Wars fans enjoy it."

Gina would later share what she thinks the secret is to make a successful franchise and according to her, it's all about the fans. "With a franchise, I think somebody has to be such a fan, they have to be a big fan of what they are doing, or else I don't think it works as well."

It may sound weird how Carano claims she has yet to see a single episode from Season 2 but I guess she feels more comfortable not having to watch and potentially critique herself. I also feel like she's still at the adjustment point in her career where she finds it surreal that she's actually part of a massive geek franchise that is beloved all over the world and quite frankly, it would really take a lot of getting used to.

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available for streaming on Disney+.
