It doesn't come as a surprise anymore how The Mandalorian became an overnight hit amongst Star Wars geeks and even the most casual of fans love the heck out of it. But if I told you that the acclaimed Disney+ show is better than Marvel's Avengers, would you believe me? Well, I have evidence that backs this claim up and you'll be surprised to learn that Mando, Baby Yoda, and the rest of the crew are more popular than the Earth's mightiest heroes.

According to a recent survey conducted by (via Variety), The Mandalorian tops the list of the 20 most popular entertainment franchises in the United States, besting the entire Avengers franchise and several other Marvel titles, including Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. The only non-Disney franchise that made it to the list were Stranger Things, The Witcher, John Wick, Mario Bros., Ozark, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which is owned by Sony. Check out the complete list below:

  1. “The Mandalorian”

  2. “Avengers”

  3. “Stranger Things”

  4. “John Wick”

  5. “Black Panther”

  6. “Guardians of the Galaxy”

  7. “The Witcher”

  8. “Ozark”

  9. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”

  10. “Black Widow”

  11. “Deadpool”

  12. “Thor”

  13. “Iron Man”

  14. “Mario Bros.”

  15. “Toy Story”

  16. Doctor Strange”

  17. “Spider-Man”

  18. “Coco”

  19. “The Lion King”

  20. “Hamilton”

It's quite an impressive feat when you think about it since The Mandalorian, a show which only came out last year was going up against the well-established Avengers franchise which currently holds the title as the biggest and most successful films ever. At the end of the day, it's still Disney's win considering the Marvel and Star Wars franchises are under their umbrella so yeah, good on ya, House of Mouse!

Speaking of, The Mandalorian Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
