The Mandalorian's Chapter 13 finally saw the much-awaited Star Wars debut of Rosario Dawson as the iconic Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano and right off the bat, she makes one hell of an impact. Ahsoka's appearance in Season 2's Episode 5 was already teased last week when the episode's title "The Jedi" was officially revealed but that didn't take away the thrill of finally seeing her in all of her live-action glory.

"The Jedi" revolves around Mando and The Child's arrival on the planet named Corvus in search of Tano. If you haven't been keeping up with Season 2, Mando is out to look for The Child's kind and return him to them. During the thrilling episode's first act, Mando encounters Corvus' devious Magistrate who makes him an offer: kill the famed Jedi in exchange for her spear made out of pure beskar. He doesn't agree to anything but uses the opportunity to locate Ahsoka.

He then stumbles upon Ahsoka in the foggy woods and the two finally come face to face but not without a little showdown. Mando realizes who he's up against and reveals to Tano that he was actually sent by Bo-Katan for his mission. The two quickly make amends and we learn exactly where The Child came from. Mando asks the Jedi to train the young fellow but Tano refuses.

Ahsoka later finds out about the Magistrate's prisoners who all happen to be innocent civilians and asks Mando a favor to help her set them free. Mando said he would only agree to it if Ahsoka trained The Child and the two would strike a deal which has somewhat become the show's recurrent theme. By the end of the action-packed episode, they both succeed in freeing the prisoners and wiping out the Magistrate's army but there's an issue. Ahsoka still wouldn't train The Child but she sends Mando to a new location to continue his quest of finding the right people (or should I say Jedi) to take care of the creature.

We all saw this one coming from a galaxy far, far away but it's still an epic treat to finally see Ahsoka Tano kill it in live-action form, and expectations were exceeded. To Rosario's credit, fans may have been skeptical about her being cast in the role but man, I gotta say, she killed it as Ahsoka and her performance only left me wanting more. Here's to hoping we'll get to see her in more episodes.

The Mandalorian Season 2's new episode is now streaming on Disney+.
