The Mandalorian: Epic Image Hypes Up Mace Windu's Potential Star Wars Comeback

The Mandalorian Chapter 13's epic tease is creating a huge buzz in the Star Wars community. No, I'm not talking about Grand Admiral Thrawn's eventual arrival in the show as we've covered that previously. I'm talking about the episode's closing moments where Ahsoka Tano told Mando that he needs to take Grogu (that's Baby Yoda for anyone who missed Chapter 13) to Tython to look for one of the remaining Jedi who can help him train the Force-wielding creature.

Fans have been speculating for days now as to which character Ahsoka was referring to and they have interesting candidates. Several theories have suggested that Star Wars Rebels' Ezra Bridger could be making his live-action debut, while some fans are convinced that the person Mando and Baby Yoda are about to find in Tython is none other than Luke Skywalker. However, another beloved Star Wars character has been the topic of discussion amongst fans of the franchise.

Mace Windu, wielder of the legendary purple lightsaber could also be among the mysterious Jedi Ahsoka is talking about. Nothing has been confirmed yet but fans seem to dig the idea, so much so that artist @spdrmnkyxxiii joined the hype and shared an artwork depicting Samuel L. Jackson's potential return to the franchise via the hit Disney+ series. Check out the awesome image he posted on Instagram here:

Of course, this theory is home to one little issue as we all saw Windu die at the hands of Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith, or did he really? At the end of the day, it's still the StarWars franchise we're talking about and we've seen Lucasfilm pull off quite a few surprises here and there, and considering the fact that Boba Fett survived a fatal fall in the Sarlacc Pit and still appeared to be alive in Season 2's opener, Mace being alive after all those years isn't exactly too farfetched to believe.
