In case you've been living under a rock the last couple of months, WarnerMedia recently dropped a bombshell concerning the future of the Man of Steel and now, current plans call for a DC film reboot that would feature a black version of Clark Kent/Superman. The said project will be produced by Star Wars director J.J. Abrams and according to reports, the studio is still looking for a director to helm the film.

Unsurprisingly, the DC fandom had mixed feelings about the supposed reboot but some are willing to give it a chance as long as Michael B. Jordan is the one who will play the role. Jordan has long been rumored to be under consideration for a Superman project over at the DCEU but instead of Clark Kent, previous reports suggested that he was either going to play Cal Ellis or Val Zod. However, Jordan has since denied any involvement in the project.

Another actor that fans are hoping to see in the film is William Jackson Harper and apparently, the star of the hit American comedy The Good Place is well aware of the fan casting. In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor said that it'll be a dream come true to play the mighty Kryptonian on the big screen but he jokingly said that he's not willing to undergo intense training and diet.

He said: "It definitely blindsided me. I was doing another interview and this guy was like, 'Yeah, this got 55,000 likes,' and I was like, 'What? Why? Who knows me?' But that would be dope. That would be the best thing that could happen to me, to be able to play Superman. I don't want to do the diet and the exercise."

Personally, I'm still not down with the idea of WB doing a Superman reboot simply because it would be a major disrespect to Henry Cavill who still hasn't gotten the Man of Steel sequel he was once promised. I also feel like despite the fact that the new film is set outside the DCEU, it's their way of quietly letting go of Cavill and erasing his version of Supes from the franchise. I could be wrong though.

Other details about WarnerMedia's Superman reboot are still being kept under wraps.
