The completion of Zack Snyder's Justice League gave a lot of DC fans renewed hope that the director's true vision for the DC Extended Universe will finally be realized. However, despite the triumph of the Snyder Cut and the positive reaction it has been generating, not to mention its strong presence on social media, it looks like Warner Bros. is still moving forward with its own plans for the franchise.

WarnerMedia executive Ann Sarnoff made a lot of fans really angry after she revealed just recently that the Snyder Cut officially marks the end of the "SnyderVerse" and according to a new report, the studio's decision is final with the DC Extended Universe set to experience a major shakeup in 2022.

According to a new scoop from the folks over at Geekosity, Ezra Miller's standalone The Flash film set for release next year was actually created not only to explore the DC multiverse but more importantly for the sole purpose of officially erasing the SnyderVerse — Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League from the DCEU canon. The upcoming project is loosely based on the Flashpoint storyline where Barry enters an alternate dystopian reality.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet so take this one with a huge grain of salt but judging by how WB is so adamant about turning the "HamadaVerse" into an actual thing and their well-documented creative issues with Zack Snyder himself, it wouldn't be so shocking if they end up rearranging the DCEU canon.

It's also worth noting that the studio has already greenlit J.J. Abrams' Superman project which reportedly will be a reboot not involving Henry Cavill. It's a convoluted mess for sure but I'm still hopeful that the SnyderVerse will remain intact. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out.
