Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier is on his road to finally coming clean after freeing himself from the clutches of Hydra that has taken over him for years. Now that the villain-turned-hero is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe via The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, his redemption arc will continue but considering his dark past, it won't be an easy task for Barnes.
Actor Sebastian Stan, who has been in the MCU for over 10 years now is thrilled to be part of the Disney+ show and he can't contain his excitement over TFATWS' forthcoming premiere. The Marvel spinoff show will revolve around Sam Wilson's road to becoming the next Captain America after the government appoints a new star-spangled hero.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Sebastian is hyping up the show's arrival by sharing a never-before-seen image of himself wearing Bucky's new suit taken during the show's initial camera test in October 2019. Check it out here:
I've always seen The Winter Soldier as the "dark horse" of the Avengers and a lot of fans (myself included) were utterly convinced that Barnes was being groomed to take over for Captain America after Avengers: Endgame. Of course, that didn't happen and by the looks of things, Bucky will remain in the role he's most comfortable with, a reliable partner and a good friend.
