Warning: if you haven't seen Episode 5 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier yet, this news contains major spoilers so read at your own risk.

It's a no-brainer that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been setting up the "arrival" of Sam Wilson as the next Captain America and although he's had his second doubts the first time around, even going as far as surrendering the vibranium shield to the U.S. government, the latest episode of the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off show pretty much confirmed that Sam is now ready to take on the mantle.

Episode 5, titled "The Truth" saw Wilson finally get the shield back from John Walker after a heated fight that also involved Bucky Barnes. Following a little pep talk with the former Winter Soldier himself, Sam made it clear that he's ready to become what Steve Rogers wanted him to be all along.

Of course, considering Wilson doesn't have the super-soldier serum running through his veins and his trusty Falcon wings getting destroyed by Walker during their altercation, the odds are clearly stacked against him even if he's in possession of the shield. Well aware of Sam's disadvantage, Bucky sought the help of Ayo and the Wakandans to give Sam some much-needed reinforcement.

Later in the episode, Bucky visited Sam who in the meantime is residing with his sister, and handed him a mysterious briefcase that came all the way from Wakanda. Naturally, the question on everyone's mind is: what's inside the case? Of course, it's safe to assume that it has Sam's new and improved suit made with vibranium and other Wakandan tech but the episode ended with a massive cliffhanger so we obviously need to wait for the finale to actually see what's inside of it.

The latest episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
