The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will mark the exciting debut of Sam Wilson as the new Captain America after Steve Rogers retired the star-spangled mantle during Avengers: Endgame's heartwarming and emotional passing of the torch scene. We still don't know how Falcon would look like as Cap, and judging the series' central plot, Sam will seemingly have to fight for his rightful spot as the government has tasked the US Agent to take the shield and assume the position of the nation's new hero.

Now, a leaked tie-in toy potentially hints at what Anthony Mackie's Captain America suit would look like in the show. An image, posted by Reddit user Disney_ToyBox features a prototype of Sam's upcoming figure and although it's still not complete, it still looks like Falcon's standard suit minus the mechanical wings. Interestingly though, the figure bears the iconic Marvel hero's red, white, and blue color scheme. Looking at the toy's mold (as I'm a collector myself), I'm assuming it's part of Marvel's Mashers line aimed towards children. Check it out below:

Not sure if this has been revealed yet but I spotted it in a prototype collector group... Appears to be a prototype for a Sam Wilson Captain America! from r/Disney_Toybox

It's hard to imagine the MCU without Steve Rogers in it but at least the upcoming Disney+ spinoff show will be switching the focus on his predecessor and quite frankly, I'm glad Anthony Mackie is finally getting the spotlight. For the longest time, his character has only been seen as a B-list hero at best, and considering the franchise recently lost Chadwich Boseman, arguably its biggest black hero, Mackie could very well be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new flagbearer and I'm sure he'll do the late Black Panther actor proud.

That said, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's release date has yet to be confirmed.
