The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 2: [SPOILERS] May Be Going By New Alias

Warning: if you haven't seen the premiere episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, this article contains major spoilers so read at your own risk!The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's second episode just premiered and it's one you surely cannot miss. Titled "The Star-Spangled Man", the episode marks the official debut of John Walker as the "new" Captain America, and right off the bat, it was made very clear that his character wasn't meant to be a brand new persona, instead, he's really just there to fill in for Steve Rogers and answer to the U.S. government.

The episode also chronicles the brewing resentment between Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes following Wilson's life-altering decision of surrendering the vibranium shield, a move he obviously regrets. Speaking of Episode 2, it had a nice call back to Bucky's days in Wakanda where he was cryogenically frozen for at least two years to rid himself of Hydra's manipulation.

In Avengers: Infinity War, not only as T'Challa aka Black Panther responsible for giving Barnes a new metal arm but he also gave him a brand new nickname "White Wolf" which of course is a direct reference to one of Black Panther's close allies and sometimes fierce foe in the comics.

During one of the scenes from the said episode, and arguably the funniest, Sam tries to mess with Bucky by calling him the White Panther, a name he assumed T'Challa anointed him with. Barnes later corrects him and says he actually went by the name White Wolf during his brief stay in Wakanda.

While we still don't know if Bucky would actually end up using the moniker down the line, it would make absolute sense for him to go by the White Wolf alias as he's trying to leave all traces of his horrible and traumatic past as the Winter Soldier behind. Plus, White Wolf just sounds so badass and fits his persona perfectly since he's a lone wolf for the most part.
