Henry Cavill's tenure in the DC Extended Universe can best be described in one word and that is "confusing". The British actor pretty much kickstarted the franchise, playing the iconic DC hero Superman back in 2013 but over the course of the franchise, he's only appeared on three projects which is deemed criminal by a lot of fans.
Adding Cavill to the mix will undeniably give the project a boost in terms of star power and who knows, they could even pit the two heroes against each other just like in the comics and animated shows.
This may not be the project we hoped for but still, it would be a treat to see Henry back in the franchise that he pretty much started. Let's just hope that the folks over at WB come to their senses and give the man the standalone Man of Steel sequel he so rightfully deserves.
Meanwhile, Henry Cavill will appear on Zack Snyder's Justice League, hitting HBO Max this March.
