The Star Wars franchise and the DC Universe don't exactly have a lot in common but one thing's for sure, they're easily among the top nerd franchises of all time and quite frankly, it would be interesting to see the two worlds collide given the opportunity. Now, comic book legend Alex Ross has debuted a never-before-seen artwork that meshes the best of both worlds together and I gotta tell you, it may look and feel weird at first, but it's definitely an intriguing crossover I'd gladly pay to see.

Taking to his social media pages, Ross unveiled his unprinted artwork which of course features his signature art style. The image sees Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo form an unlikely alliance with some of the members of the Justice League like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman and it's pretty freaking glorious. Who are they up against, you ask? The potentially destructive duo of Darth Vader and Darkseid. Holy bleep! Check it our below:

It's interesting and a little intriguing how Ross labeled his work "unprinted" and it now begs the question: were there actual plans for a DC Comics and Star Wars crossover event? I guess we'll never know. Well, that seems out of question now anyway considering Disney pretty much owns the Star Wars brand along with DC's comic book counterpart Marvel so the probability of it happening in the future is very slim but you know what they say, you can never say never.

In the meantime, the first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
