Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan's dynamic as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is so good that it doesn't come as a surprise anymore how they've developed a strong friendship on and off-camera through the years. And despite the fact that Evans is no longer part of the franchise, the bond between the two stars remains intact as evidenced by Stan's recent social media post to celebrate Chris' 40th birthday.
Proving that he'll always have Evans' back, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier star took to his Instagram stories to pen a heartfelt message for his good friend. Remaining in character as Bucky, the said message even included a clever Captain America reference I'm pretty sure most of you will easily get.
Sharing a photo of Evans, Stan wrote: "I'm in. Whatever it takes. Till the end of the line. This is the guy, I'll always follow. Happy bday to one of the greatest and truest. Integrity. Almost extinct nowadays, and he's got more than half of us put together. Love you pal. Keep striving, keep flying..."
Steve's real status in the MCU still remains shrouded by mystery and while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has hinted that the former Captain America may have actually died, the chances of Evans returning to the franchise seem to grow bigger by the day with recent reports claiming that Marvel Studios have secured the actor for a mystery project. Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet but imagine Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and Sam Wilson teaming up more one time. That would be pretty epic.
All episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are available for streaming on Disney+.
