Robert Downey Jr. is widely regarded by many as the face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a distinction he so rightfully deserves because obviously, the original Iron Man film was the one that started it all. But you know what they say, all good things must come to an end and RDJ finally left the franchise following Avengers: Endgame in the grandest way possible.
Currently, the actor is busy exploring the production side of things and so far, he's already found a great deal of success with his Netflix project Sweet Tooth getting some rave reviews from both fans and critics. As it stands, we still don't know what the future holds for RDJ acting-wise but it's safe to assume that a return to Marvel isn't something that is currently on his list of priorities, as disappointing as that may sound.
Speaking of Marvel and "disappointment", fans are buzzing all over social media after finding out that Downey has apparently unfollowed all of his Marvel castmates on Instagram, including Marvel Studios' official page. This intriguing move from the actor left many fans heartbroken and they all want answers from Tony Stark himself. Check out the reactions here:
Downey has yet to address the matter but don't act all that surprised if he ends up ignoring the issue altogether. Maybe it's his way of detaching from the Marvel universe or he simply just doesn't want to be associated with the MCU anymore now that he's starting to explore new things in his illustrious career. It's sad but we all gotta move on.
