The general belief within the DC Extended Universe fandom is that Warner Bros. was only persuaded to release Zack Snyder's Justice League in an effort to finally put an end to the 3-year Snyder Cut movement but little does the studio know that it was only the beginning of a much larger movement which is now gaining traction all over the internet.

It's safe to say that not a lot of people weren't expecting it to happen, especially Warner Bros. executives but the unprecedented triumph of the Snyder Cut opened the door for a lot of fans to launch a new movement calling for the continuation of Zack's DCEU vision.

Dubbed the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse campaign, the new movement has been making waves online and even shatteredAvengers: Endgame's 24-hour Twitter record with 1.5 million reactions. WB has yet to respond to the feat but Ann Sarnoff has recently come out to confirm that they're moving on with their own plans for the franchise.

Still, that statement from the WarnerMedia executive isn't gonna dishearten fans as they've launched a new petition demanding WB to save the SnyderVerse. A Change.Org petition launched just days following the release of Justice League is making the rounds online and it's closing in on 25,000 signatures.

It'll be interesting to see if WB actually reverses its decision now that its DCEU plans have been made public thanks to Ann Sarnoff. But despite their eagerness to resist the pressure from the fanbase, the SnyderVerse movement is just too strong to ignore and while I don't exactly believe that they'll change their minds anytime soon, there is hope.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is streaming on HBO Max.
