In case you missed it, news broke out earlier this week that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's upcoming DC film Black Adam has been removed from Warner Bros. Pictures' scheduling slate. It's still unclear why the drastic decision was made and when the film will actually hit cinemas but the good news is, it's not going to be shelved like fans initially feared. In fact, new reports say that the superhero film is interested in adding Person of Interest star Sarah Shahi to play the Egyptian Goddess/hero Isis, a character who has already been introduced to casual fans via her appearance in The CW's Legends of Tomorrow series.

The good folks over at The Illuminerdi had dibs on the exclusive scoop. According to their report, Shahi is, in fact, being considered for the role but nothing has been finalized yet. Warner Bros. has allegedly reached out to her and the offer is definitely on the table. The 40-year-old actress is best known for her aforementioned involvement in Person of Interest as the skilled and cunning assassin Sameen Shaw. No official confirmation has been made yet so of course, take everything with a grain of salt.

Aside from being a hero and a mythological being in the DC Universe, Isis plays a major role in the comics, also serving as Teth-Adam's confidante and frequent love interest post-Infinite Crisis series 52. Isis' addition to Black Adam could mean that she'll play a pivotal role in possibly turning the Mighty Human into a good guy although I doubt it will happen right away. Naturally, one would assume that Adam will still have to go face-to-face with his mortal enemy Shazam! in the film before his own redemption arc plays out. A showdown between him and Superman somewhere down the line would be hella nice as well!

Black Adam's new release date has yet to be announced.
