Fans are still on cloud nine after Lucasfilm officially announced a barrage of content that will keep Star Wars fans glued to their television screens (or should I say streaming devices) long after The Mandalorian is over. We all know by now that Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor is returning for his own Disney+ series but fanboys absolutely lost it when it was revealed that Hayden Christensen will also be making his triumphant return to the franchise as Darth Vader.

This new development is exciting for sure but it also begs the question, with Hayden donning the Darth Vader suit once again, will he also be voicing the character? Is there a chance that legendary voice actor James Earl Jones could also make his franchise return to reprise his Vader role?

Since the confirmation, the demand for Jones to also be involved in the show went up and it isn't hard to understand why as we've long associated Lord Vader's voice with Jones' iconic portrayal. See some of the fan reactions below:

Although it was never talked about during Investor Day, the possibility of James coming back to voice Vader is likely considering he recently reprised his role as Mufasa in the live-action version of The Lion King. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Hayden ends up voicing the character but I gotta say, he's got a lot of work to do to mimic James Earl Jones' iconic voice.

The Obi-Wan series is scheduled for release in 2022.
