A lot of the success achieved by the Marvel film franchise can be attributed to one man and one man alone — that's Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and although it wasn't always rainbows and butterflies for the MCU chief, he's proven over the years that he's the man for the job and let's be honest, he's taken the franchise to unprecedented heights and pretty much changed the landscape of the superhero and comic book genre in both film and television.

Naturally, this led a lot of fans to think that he can also lead Lucasfilm and take the Star Wars franchise to the stratosphere once again. Feige is set to produced a project for the legendary science-fiction franchise which has not been disclosed and the general belief within the fandom right now is that Feige is next in line to take charge of the franchise when Kathleen Kennedy eventually steps down.

Apparently, that's not the case as Variety reports that Feige has no ambition of leading Lucasfilm and he's fully committed to his obligations as the head of Marvel Studios. "After it was announced in 2019 that Feige would produce a Star Wars movie, there were rumors that he might assume more control of Lucasfilm," the report says. "However, insiders say that Feige is fully committed with his Marvel duties and has no ambition to lead Lucasfilm or take more of a role."

While I'm sure Feige is flattered by the fact that a lot of people see him as someone who's capable to lead the Star Wars franchise much like he did the Marvel Cinematic Universe, assuming two positions all at the same time would even for a guy who's as passionate and creatively driven as him. If anything, I'd love to see the duo of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni handle business over at Lucasfilm because their track record has been pretty impressive.

Speaking of Favreau and Filoni, the duo is currently working on The Book of Boba Fett.
