Unfortunate news, Marvel film fans. The effects of the ongoing coronavirus has forced Marvel Studios to delay some of their upcoming films, including one of the MCU's highly anticipated offerings Eternals which has officially been pushed back to November 2021.

Variety reports that with the decision of Black Widow moving its premiere to May 2021 from its scheduled November 2020 release, it also forces Eternals to bail out of its supposed release date of February 2021 due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's interconnected nature. Shang-Chi is also going to suffer the same fate and is now eyeing a July 2021 release. If that's the case, other films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could also be on the verge of getting moved to a new date but we still don't know as of now.

One of the film's lead actors Kumail Nanjiani took to Twitter and commended Marvel Studios for their decision amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the health and safety of everyone remain important. Check it out here:

Again, taking into consideration the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's the most logical thing to do for Marvel Studios to just delay the film. Some might say that it should just be dropped via Disney+ but in my view, Marvel's big-budget films are too grand just to be seen on our streaming devices.

Marvel Studios' Eternals is now eyeing a November 5, 2021 premiere.
