I think we can all agree that Margot Robbie has always been the perfect choice to play live-action, Harley Quinn, in the DC Extended Universe and despite the fact that she's been involved in poorly-received films, her portrayal as Joker's love interest is just so spot-on and for twice already, she was the saving grace of the first two films that featured the iconic DC female anti-hero. Robbie, who has been a DCEU mainstay since 2016 has found herself working with the likes of Jared Leto and the Birds of Prey cast but that actress admittedly wants to go all-in and explore Harley's relationship with another character.

The Australian actress has long expressed her desire to be paired with Poison Ivy in the DC film franchise and apparently, she's been nagging Warner Bros. to bring the Batman villainess to the universe. Not only that, but Robbie also said that she'd like to see the DCEU put the spotlight on their romantic relationship. Speaking with Den of Geek, the actress revealed that she actually pitched the idea to WB on a number of occasions.

She explains: "Trust me, I chew their ear off about it all the time. They must be sick of hearing it, but I’m like, ‘Poison Ivy, Poison Ivy. Come on, let’s do it.’ I’m very keen to see a Harley-Poison Ivy relationship on screen. It’d be so fun. So I’ll keep pestering them. Don’t worry."

While I'm down with the idea of Poison Ivy finally making her much-awaited return to live-action, I gotta say, I don't think putting her in a relationship with Harley Quinn without proper build would be a good idea. Plus, I feel like the aftermath of Harley's relationship with The Joker which was teased in Birds of Prey needs to be explored even further before anything else but that's just me.

Meanwhile, James Gunn's The Suicide Squad hits cinemas and HBO Max this August.
