It's already hard to imagine anyone other than Margot Robbie playing the role of Harley Quinn in DC's live-action universe and despite the fact that her previous films received an underwhelming response from fans and critics, her stellar performance as the iconic Batman villain/anti-hero was beyond enough to convince Warner Bros. that she needs to stick around in the DC Extended Universe.

However, the Australian star worried fans last month when she revealed that she's getting really exhausted from portraying the character, and truth be told, playing a role like Harley can be demanding in all aspects. But as it turns out, Robbie's previous comments were just taken out of context, and according to her, she's not abandoning the role anytime soon.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the lead star of James Gunn's The Suicide Squad pretty much debunked initial reports suggesting that she's taking a break from playing Harley on the big screen.

Robbie said that the year-long break she took after filming Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad back-to-back was already enough rest. She explains: "No, I've had enough of a break. I'm ready to do her again. I did Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad back-to-back, so that was a lot of Harley all in a one-year period, but that was a while ago now. I'm always ready for more Harley!"

It's good to know that the actress has no plans of leaving the DCEU in the near future and quite frankly, fans aren't ready to see her go just yet. Again, there's nothing to worry about because it's quite evident that the powers that be are totally behind the actress and this might be one of the rare occasions where we can be grateful to Warner Bros. and DC Films.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on August 5, 2021. It will also be available on the same day on HBO Max.
