Warning: if you haven't seen the latest episode of Loki, this article contains spoilers so read at your own risk!
Much like the previous episodes, there's a lot to unpack in Episode 4 of Marvel Studios' Loki series but one thing's for sure, the fourth episode was one hell of a roller coaster ride and it just might be the best one yet. Revolving around Loki and Sylvie being turned over to the Time Variance Authority for the second time, Episode 4, dropped a lot of revelations concerning the Time-Keepers and the sacred timeline as we know it.
"The Nexus Event" also saw the shocking fate of not one but two fan-favorite characters who both got pruned by Judge Ravonna Renslayer. Now, those of you who have yet to see the episode may be wondering why it happened so let's walk you through. In Episode 3, Sylvie told Loki about the secret behind the TVA's trusty agents who are apparently all variants just like them. Apparently, before joining the TVA, they are just regular human beings whose memories were erased by the Time-Keepers.
Unsurprisingly, Loki attempted to tell Mobius about what he learned but to no avail. Later in the episode, Mobius himself finds out that Ravonna is aware of the TVA's deepest secrets which she refuses to disclose. This led to Mobius planning another team-up with the God of Mischief but it was too late as Ravonna decided to prune her once trusty agent.
Fans would then take to Twitter to express their shock over Mobius' fate and a lot of them are convinced that we've seen the last of him. Or did we? Check out the reactions below:
Loki also suffered the same fate as Mobius who got pruned earlier in the episode. However, instead of actually "dying", Laufeyson seemed to have found himself in a new timeline where he meets four variant versions of himself. This definitely suggests that being pruned doesn't exactly mean that you fall to your demise but the biggest question is, where exactly is Mobius now?
