Whether you'd like to acknowledge it or not, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is one of the most successful film producers today and it's amazing how he was able to propel himself to the status he's in right now. The unprecedented success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has led to a lot of doors opening for Feige and now, he's set to produce a project in the Star Wars universe.

We already know for a fact that Disney owns both Marvel and Lucasfilm and a lot of fans have been toying with the idea of the two colossal franchises teaming up in an epic crossover. If you were to ask the mastermind behind the MCU, a potential crossover that would see characters from Marvel and Star Wars coming together doesn't exactly appeal to him.

Speaking with Yahoo, Feige didn't exactly rule out the possibility of it all coming together although he doesn't feel the need to make it happen. Sharing his thoughts on the current status of the Marvel film franchise, he said: "If you'd ask me if anything we're talking about right now was in the realm of possibility 20 years ago, I would've said, ‘I don't think so.'"

As for the ambitious crossover's potential of getting materialized, he simply said: "But I really don't think so. I don't think there's any reason for it."

It's a fun idea to ponder on but if you'd ask me, I'm also not too keen on seeing something like that transpire. Both franchises are doing well on their own currently so let's just keep it that way. Also, the risk of this "crossover" ending up being a colossal failure will always be there and it's quite frightening. You know what they say, if it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it.

Meanwhile, Kevin Feige's Star Wars project is in active development.
