In case you missed it, Zack Snyder's upcoming cut of Justice League is set to feature the triumphant return of Jared Leto's Joker. The news comes as a major shocker to a lot of DC diehards considering the fact that Leto's version of the Clown Prince of Crime wasn't even in the theatrical release in 2017. Still, this new development sent massive shockwaves to the entire comic book community and a lot of fans are hopeful that Leto can finally get the opportunity to shine as the iconic Batman villain.

Now, to amp up the excitement just a little more, artist BossLogic has unveiled his new Joker artwork and it's looking pretty darn sinister. The image features a brand new look for the DCEU Joker who now sports an open wound depicting a smile kinda similar to Heath Ledger's version. This one is a lot more terrifying though and somewhat pays homage to Mistah J's modern-day look. Check it out here:

Surprisingly enough, the response to Jared Leto's return to the DCEU has been generally positive. Of course, a lot of you are well aware of the backlash his portrayal received in 2016's Suicide Squad and it's quite refreshing to see how fans have slowly accepted his version of the character. What's even more thrilling is the fact that Leto can finally redeem himself after all these years. It's also intriguing what Snyder's vision for Mistah J would be given the fact that he mainly calls the shots for the four-part project. Something tells me it'll be a far cry from David Ayer's concept but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is hitting HBO Max in 2021.
