J.K. Rowling is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated authors in the world thanks to her work on the Harry Potter series which pretty much launched her career to the stratosphere. However, her reputation was tainted when her opinions about the transgender community were made public in 2019.
Since the issue blew up, the public image and perception of the renowned British author were undeniably affected but as time went on, she seemed to become more firm and unapologetic of her personal views.
Unsurprisingly, J.K. has received backlash for her controversial statements which were deemed transphobic by a lot of fans. And while she never confirmed the allegations thrown at her, it has seemingly been a habit of her to trigger people on social media. Now, Harry Potter fans are once again buzzing about Rowling online after her jaw-dropping revelation on Twitter.

Taking to the microblogging site, the Fantastic Beasts author claims that transgender activists have been actively sending her all kinds of threats. According to Rowling, the said activists have threatened to beat, rape, and even assassinate her. She even posted a screenshot of a random Twitter user who threatened to send her a pipebomb. To be fair, when you can’t get a woman sacked, arrested or dropped by her publisher, and cancelling her only made her book sales go up, there’s really only one place to go. pic.twitter.com/MsNWXhWlyc— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 19, 2021
Sure, J.K. has been rubbing a lot of people the wrong way over the last couple of years but does she really deserve to get her life threatened on a regular basis? Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of her views but to send her death threats is just a vile and disgusting thing to do. We're all better than that.
