The Marvel Cinematic Universe's one true patriarch Robert Downey Jr. seems to be cherishing his time away from the billion-dollar franchise following Avengers: Endgame and while a lot of people (myself included) are still reeling from Tony Stark's emotional MCU departure, quite frankly, the man deserves some rest from all the craziness that comes along with becoming a superhero.

Now, RDJ is coming out to support his favorite rock band Metallica's upcoming benefit concert which will take place this Saturday, November 14th. In a new video hyping up the event, Robert once again put his Tony Stark face on as he invited his fans to join the music extravaganza, all while holding his guitar and his Nano Infinity Gauntlet, looking extra cool in the process. RDJ will be making a special appearance on the acoustic show which will be streamed worldwide from the legendary metal act's studio. Check it out here:

Now, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that the entire geek and comic book community are missing Robert Downey Jr.'s take on Iron Man. Of course, it'd be selfish to force him to come back to the franchise all of a sudden when he seems to be enjoying his retirement from his duties as the co-leader of the Avengers. That's not to say though that I wouldn't want to see him back, even if that would be tricky, not to mention pointless to do.

Speaking of the MCU, WandaVision will officially kick off Phase 4 in January.
