Say what you will about Hayden Christensen's controversial portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels but it can't be denied that the actor effectively played the character who went from being the Chosen One to a servant of the dark side and over the years, he has earned the respect of people in the fandom so much so that he can already be considered a legend in the franchise.
Although we're probably only going to remember him for his role as Anakin aka Darth Vader, one would still think that it's an achievement he's extremely proud to share with his family. However, that's not actually the case as Hayden's only daughter Briar Rose has apparently not seen a single film from the iconic sci-fi franchise.
Hayden's wife Rachel Bilson reveals their reason for preventing their daughter from seeing any of the films especially the ones Christensen had the pleasure of becoming a part of. In an interview with E! Online, Bilson shares that Anakin's youngling murder spree in Revenge of the Sith is too graphic for Briar to witness. She explains: "She has no idea what that even means because she hasn't seen anything. And thank God, because he kills children, so let's keep that from her until she's like 80. I'd like to keep it that way."
It's also worth noting that Natalie Portman previously revealed that her children have also yet to see the Star Wars films she starred in and while her reason differs from her co-star Christensen, I actually find it amusing that the Padme and Anakin actors somewhat share the same sentiments about the franchise. That's not to say though that they're ashamed of their involvement in the projects, I guess they're just being good parents at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, Hayden Christensen is set to make his triumphant return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Obi-Wan.
