Marvel Studios is showing zero signs of slowing down and if you think Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been hella crazy so far, that's just the tip of the iceberg and the following months will only get more mind-boggling, to say the least. After witnessing magic and mystery over the last couple of months via shows like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, the studio is bringing raw and unadulterated action back to the small screen via the standalone Hawkeye series starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld.
Rumors circulated last week that the show's first teaser will arrive today and true to form, Marvel Studios delivered. The near-two-minute trailer sees Clint Barton trying to make up for the time he lost with his family but obviously, being an Avenger comes with a price. Not only that, but it looks like his days as the masked assassin Ronin are about to haunt him. More importantly, it also features Clint meeting his apprentice and successor Kate Bishop for the first time and it looks like trouble will also follow the future Young Avenger as the duo will embark on a few action-packed missions over the course of the Holiday season. Marvel's content expansion via Disney+ is definitely a gamble that and it paid off big time for Kevin Feige and his team of creators. As for the series, Hawkeye will mark another changing of the guard in the billion-dollar franchise as Clint Barton passes on the torch to a young Kate Bishop who is set to become a key member of the Young Avengers. Of course, that project has yet to be officially confirmed but by the looks of things, it's pretty safe to assume that's where all of this will take us.
