Whether people would like to admit it or not, Zack Snyder's Justice League can be considered as a monumental triumph for the comic book film industry and despite the fact that it "failed" to generate desirable box office returns for HBO Max, the online presence of the film alone is enough proof that fans are ready for more but of course, the studio and streaming platform still have the final say about things.

Speaking of the project failing to deliver in terms of box office performance, a new data claims that despite the hype and buzz it was able to generate, the Snyder Cut wasn't even part of HBO Max's biggest weekend opening films list and it was bested by films like Wonder Woman 1984, Godzilla vs Kong, and the newly-released Mortal Kombat remake.

The said stats were posted by Decider writer Scott Porch who threw a little shade at the Snyder Cut for not being able to bring in the box office numbers it was expected to contribute before its release. One of HBO Max's verified Twitter accounts actually retweeted the post which discredits Justice League by accident but the said Twitter handle (@InsideHBOMax) would later take down the post after fans noticed that snarky remark made towards the Snyder Cut.

The hype for the Snyder Cut may have died down over the last couple of weeks but the SnyderVerse movement is still going strong on social media. But things aren't looking great for the call to "restore" Zack Snyder's original vision for the DC Extended Universe now that the official data reveal that it didn't contribute to the financial growth of the streaming service. Still, if all else fails, I'm glad that we got to see his true version of Justice League.

Speaking of, Justice League is still streaming on HBO Max.
