The Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Sylvester Stallone can easily be considered one of Hollywood's most respected actors with a stellar career spanning over five decades but even a legend like him isn't immune to today's "cancel culture". This week, the internet went buzzing after learning that Stallone is one of the newest members of ex-United States President Donald Trump's private club.

According to an exclusive scoop from Page Six, the Rocky actor has allegedly joined Trump's Mar-a-Lago private club. Sly's political stand has remained a mystery over the years but as the report suggests, he's actually good friends with the former President and is in fact a Trump supporter.

Naturally, this new bit of information left a lot of people upset especially those who have been following Sly's career all these years and also happen to be anti-Trump. Taking to Twitter, they slammed Stallone for choosing to associate himself with the controversial figure and some fans even claim that they lost all of their respect for the actor. As it stands, Stallone's camp has yet to issue an official statement following the internet-breaking news and it's easy to assume that the actor's silence could mean that the rumors are in fact true and he's just letting the anger of fans subside. Still, we don't know his side of the story so for now, let's reserve our judgment.

Sylvester Stallone stars in The Suicide Squad as King Shark. He's also rumored to return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
