Guardians of the Galaxy Star Chris Pratt Under Fire for Not Joining Joe Biden Fundraiser

The star-studded, or should I say Avenger-studded virtual fundraiser for US Presidential hopeful Joe Biden was a sure-fire success, to say the very least but it's not without controversy as social media users lambasted Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt for not participating in the virtual political gathering which saw the likes of Robert Downey. Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Don, Cheadle, Paul Rudd, the directing duo Russo brothers, and Pratt's GOTG co-star Zoe Saldana.

Things got a little too ugly in a hurry on Twitter as fans criticized Pratt for no-showing the event. What's even worse is the fact that Twitter users even went as far as calling him a white supremacist and a Trump diehard, something that's not even been confirmed by the actor himself. See some of the nasty reactions below:

And just like that, "cancel culture" strikes again. This just goes to show how this new internet culture can be instrumental in ruining someone's reputation and credibility. The way Pratt was attacked by fans just because he no-showed a political event is kind of silly, don't you think? The thing about social media today is people think they know virtually everything and they'd easily jump to conclusions without even verifying the information they have. I'm totally sick of it but hey, at least Chris Pratt remains cool and unbothered about the allegations thrown at him. I guess that's the best way to go about things.
