Godzilla and Kong Fans Torn on Which Monster to Root For After Seeing the Trailer

After much delay, the epic showdown between two of pop culture's biggest, baddest, and most iconic monsters Godzilla and King Kong is finally happening this year. Warner Bros. Pictures finally released the first official trailer for Godzilla vs Kong to much fanfare and seeing the two behemoths clash is quite an astonishing sight to behold.


For some reason, the "King of the Monsters" is depicted as the bad guy in the film with Kong aka the "Eighth Wonder of the World" being set up as the one to stop the mythical giant from causing chaos upon the world in a good old take of the irresistible force meeting the immovable object.

Seeing them clash in the trailer is quite unsettling and unsurprisingly, fans are torn on which side to choose. After seeing the action-packed teaser, people are having a hard time picking which monster to root for. How about you? Are you Team Godzilla or Team Kong? Check out some of the reactions below:

Although the trailer makes it seem like Kong has the upper hand against Godzilla, it's a little too early to tell for sure. The showdown would be thrilling and fun but for all we know, they could end up teaming together to fight an even bigger threat. *coughs Mecha Godzilla* Still, this film will surely be a can't-miss cinematic event and I'm totally here for it.

Godzilla vs Kong will premiere in select cinemas and on HBO Max on March 26.
