We have more reasons than one to be excited for the Amazonian Princess from Themyscira's return to the big screen. Not only is Gal Gadot continuing her journey as Wonder Woman in the 1980s, but she is also set to take flight in her newly-acquired golden armor for Wonder Woman 1984.

We've seen glimpses of it via promotional images but we've yet to see her at full force with the said armor. Now, a new Japanese trailer for the upcoming DC superhero flick premiered a couple of days ago and it sees Diana Prince donning her ultra glorious golden armor and it showcases the things she's capable of when she wears her majestic suit of armor. The particular scene included towards the end of the trailer features Diana's showdown with Cheetah, as well as Wonder Woman battling what looks to be a group of soldiers and if that's not enough to get you hyped for its Christmas Day release, I don't know what will! See it for yourself below:

Although it's been experiencing all sorts of delays since 2019, the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman still proves to be one of the most anticipated comic book films of the year. Here's to hoping its holiday premiere won't be halted anymore but considering how unpredictable times have become since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, don't be surprised.

What intrigues me the most regarding the upcoming film is the dynamic between Diana and Steve Trevor who was presumed dead following the events of the first Wonder Woman film. The question is, is it really Steve Trevor or just some illusion created by the powerful and devious Maxwell Lord? There's only one way to find out, of course.
