There's clearly no doubt that Amber Heard has become Tinseltown's most hated celebrity but the onslaught of controversy surrounding her personal life doesn't seem to faze the star of Aquaman who recently confirmed that she's set to reprise her role as Mera in the DC Extended Universe. Last week, we reported that Heard is Sony's top choice to play Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat in their Silver & Black series but apparently, that's not the only Marvel role the actress is eyeing.
A new rumor is suggesting that Amber has her sights set on the MCU's Fantastic Four reboot and according to insider Daniel Richtman, the 34-year-old actress wants to play Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet so take everything with a huge grain of salt.
It'll be interesting to see if Disney and Marvel Studios would actually even consider Heard considering the issues she's been dealing with as of late which also concerns her ex-husband Johnny Depp. Personally, I'm not too keen on the idea although I think she may have a place in the MCU. Besides, fans have long been calling for Kevin Feige and his crew to cast real-life husband and wife John Krasinski and Emily Blunt to lead the MCU's first family. That is something I'd be on board with.
The MCU's Fantastic Four reboot is still in development.
