Comic book film fans were livid when Warner Bros. announced plans for its upcoming Superman reboot and out of all the days they could've chosen to deliver the news, the studio decided to drop the bombshell on Henry Cavill's 38th birthday. The J.J. Abrams-produced project will feature a black version of Kal-El aka Clark Kent but as it stands, plans call for the film to be set outside the DC Extended Universe despite previous reports claiming that the reboot will officially remove Henry Cavill's Superman from continuity.

Still, it's clear that the studio doesn't have anything on the table for The Witcher actor who has expressed his desire on multiple occasions to remain in the franchise and do the long overdue Man of Steel sequel under the SnyderVerse. With the evident lack of plans, Warner Bros. and DC have for him, a lot of fans have been clamoring for the British star to jump ship to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they believe he will be treated better.

Following the Superman reboot announcement, a lot of Marvel fans took to social media to persuade the actor to transfer to the MCU, and quite frankly, Henry will be a hot commodity within the Marvel realm should he decide to jump ship. Check out some of the tweets here:

Now, it's worth noting that Cavill has been rumored to be in negotiations with Marvel Studios for quite some time now with several reports claiming that he's in the running for a potential role as Captain Britain. Just recently, we reported that Henry may have in fact signed on to become part of the billion-dollar franchise and he's allegedly doing a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder as Hercules. Of course, playing lesser-known characters in the MCU would be considered a downgrade since he came from the DCEU as the Man of Steel but I'm sure he'll make things work.

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill will return for The Witcher Season 2.
