It's no secret that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam film has been in developmental hell for years now and at one point, a lot of fans have actually lost hope that the project will ever see the light of day. Now, the comic book Gods above have granted our wish as production has already started for the highly-anticipated DC Extended Universe film.

The former WWE superstar is reportedly quite hands-on with the project and he wants to make sure that the film will deliver. Now, the question on everyone's mind is, does Johnson have that much of a creative pull to prevent Warner Bros. from getting overly involved with the film?

Apparently, the answer to that is a resounding yes as The Rock himself is reportedly determined to make Black Adam the way he has always envisioned it to be and nobody is going to stop him from doing so. Geekosity reports that Dwayne is really adamant about keeping the SnyderVerse intact. Their latest scoop reads: "According to insiders, The Rock is ignoring all of Warner Bros.’ plans to end the Snyderverse. A source said that: The Rock is making Black Adam the way he always envisioned, and nobody will stand in his way."

Of course, just like any other rumor, take this one with a huge grain of salt but considering he's one of the biggest stars if not the biggest star in Hollywood right now, the idea of The Rock having a tremendous amount of influence and creative pull behind-the-scenes isn't exactly too crazy to actually believe.

If the rumors end up becoming true, then the "Great One" just might be the one to save the entire DCEU from being decimated altogether. Say what you will about the man but you see, The Rock has always been in touch with the fans and he sure knows what they want and obviously, it's the restoration of the SnyderVerse. Hopefully, the Man in Black ultimately succeeds.

Black Adam is slated to hit cinemas in 2022.
